Nokia 8 Launched in India – Snapdragon 835, Made in India, Stock Android

HMD Global has today announced the Nokia 8 in India. Nokia 8 is the 4th smartphone from Nokia and the first true flagship. HMD global discussed a lot of things during the launch event. Among them, they announced the price of Nokia 8 in India and the dates when the phone will start selling.

Nokia 8: Key Features

The Nokia 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC. That is Qualcomm’s most powerful offering. The display on the Nokia 8 is a 5.3-inch QHD panel. The phone comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage and 4GB of RAM. There’s an SD card slot which supports up to 256GB of MicroSD card. There is also a 128GB and 4GB RAM variant of Nokia 8, but it is not yet launched in India.

The camera on the Nokia 8 is a dual setup of 12MP cameras. The front camera is also a 12MP sensor. Nokia has used the camera optics or lenses from Zeiss. Nokia 8 is capable of taking “Bothies” wherein the phone records video or take photos using the front and the back cameras at the same time. Apart from that, the phone runs completely stock Android with no bloatware.

Nokia 8 runs Android Nougat out of the box. However, Nokia 8 and other Nokia phones will be the first ones to get Android Oreo (8.0).

Made in India: Like all other Nokia phones, the Nokia 8 is also completely made in India. So, you can be proud to be contributing something for your nation when you buy the Nokia 8.

Price, Release Date & Where to Buy

Price: The price of Nokia 8 in India is Rs. 36,999. The Indian pricing is significantly lesser than the European pricing which is towards the Rs. 45000 price range. This price is for the Nokia variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage.

The special edition “Polished Blue” variant of Nokia 8 with 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM will be announced later.

Release Date: The Nokia 8 will be available to buy in India from the 14th of October 2017.

Available colours: Nokia 8 will be initially sold in 3 colours – Polished Blue, Tempered Blue, and Steel. The polished copper colour variant will go on sale a few weeks later.

Where to buy?: Nokia 8 will be made available for purchase via online and offline stores. Crome, Reliance Digital, Sangeetha Mobile and many other Nokia exclusive retail stores will carry the Nokia 8 from the 14th October.

Launch Offers & Discounts on Nokia 8
