Huawei has announced that they will be rolling out official Android Nougat update on Honor 6X. Recently they have started beta testing phase for Android Nougat. Being a part of beta tester program, you can download and install Android 7 on Honor 6X and report for the bugs before the build is made public. Let’s take a look how to be a part of Beta Tester.
Steps to Get Android Nougat Beta on Honor 6X
If your device is rooted or running on custom ROM you won’t be eligible to apply for the beta testing program unless you unroot your Honor 6X and flash stock firmware on it.
All you need to do is to get yourself enrolled into the beta program. Once you’re a beta tester, then you will automatically receive an OTA update to EMUI 5.0 Beta running on ANdroid7.0 Nougat.
- Dial *#06# on your dailpad. This will display your IMEI number of your device.
- Just copy the number and send it to huaweifut@huawei.com.
- You can use the below draft mail if you wish to.

- If you are selected for the beta testing program, then you will get a confirmation email.
