Fix: Distorted Graphics of Temple Run 2 in Lumia 525

Temple Run 2 is the sequel to the successful running game, Temple Run. Unfortunately, it is not giving proper performance on the low-end Lumia devices like the Lumia 525. This is because the Lumia 525 although matches the game’s minimum requirements of RAM, does not have a powerful GPU chip to render the graphics at the rate at which Temple Rum 2 wants it to. Unless the game developers modify the game to work on Low End devices, the performance is going to remain the same. However, there is a fix to cure the poor and distorted graphics faced by the Lumia 525 owners.

Solution – Reduce Graphic Quality

The fix for the problem is actually very simple. Temple Run 2 loads with a higher graphics quality which renders the graphics as distorted on the Lumia 525, hence unreadable. All we need to do is to reduce the graphics quality in the game’s settings which will bring the game back to its proper functioning.

  1. Launch the game.
  2. Tap on Menu
  3. Tap on Settings
  4. Now locate the Visual Quality option and swipe your finger from right towards left, just below it. To be more precise, swipe it at the space between the Visual Quality heading and where it says Good, Better and Best.
  5. Tap on Back
  6. If you did it right, the graphics should start displaying correctly. Else retry with the Step 4 and 5 until you manage to reduce the quality down to good. Check out the images in the gallery below for better explanation:
You need to make the above change each time you run the game. We’ve reached out to Imangi for solution, but there is no update yet!
