Nokia XR20 is all ready to be upgraded to Android 12. HMD Global’s tough and durable smartphone, which launched on Android 11 last year, just started receiving the upgrade to Android 12. HMD Global resumes the Android 12 rollout to its devices after a gap of around three months when it upgraded the Nokia G50.
Android 12 update for Nokia XR20 is 2.1 GB in size. It bumps the OS build version from 1_240 to 2_300 and comes with Google security patch for March 2022. With Android 12, the Nokia XR20 will receive a redesigned UI and access to new features such as Dynamic colors, improved animations, conversation widgets, scrolling screenshots, location approximation & privacy dashboard.
If you own the rugged Nokia XR20, then head to the security updates screen to check for updates. You can find the option in Settings > System > System updates. And as usual, it will take a while for the updates to show up in all regions. So, you can check again later if the update is not available immediately.
The update is seen at least in Finland as reported by some users on Twitter. It is not yet available on my Nokia XR20 in India.
