Get Free Virtual Credit Card from Entropay for Shopping Online

Online Shopping is something which is trending hugely these days. Shopping and or making payments online is easy, convenient and can be done from anywhere be it your home or office. The online industry is expected to grow hugely in the future which will bring in more cases of fraudulent use of your credit cards and banking information.

Security is another story we can easily write a book on, but as not everyone is easily offered a credit card by the banks, some users are never able to make payments and do shopping online. If you’re one of the sufferers, you can get a Virtual online Credit Card to shop online. Virtual Cards are also very secure as they are prepaid. Even if your info is compromised, the hacker cannot empty your bank.

Entopay Offers Free and Instant Virtual Credit Cards

Entropay is an online virtual card service which is run by Ixaris Systems, Ltd in association with Visa. The aim of the service was to provide Credit Card access to persons regardless of their location or credit-worthiness. Entropay Prepaid Virtual Credit Cards can be used on any website or service which accepts international Visa cards.

entropay card virtual

It’s a Credit Card, but doesn’t provide you with Credit

It’s a credit card, so does it provide free Credit? I know you’d be asking the same question. No it does not offer you any sort of credit facility and you can only use as much funds as you deposit in your virtual card account.
So why is it called a credit card?
Just because it can be used on any website which accepts credit cards. We’d have called it a debit card, but because it also works on websites requiring only a credit card, it is indeed a Prepaid Virtual Credit Card.

Loading Up your Virtual Credit Card

Entropay provides two easy ways to load the virtual cards. This can be done either via Bank Transfer (to their Bank Account in London) or through direct debit to your existing and personal Credit/Debit Card. There’s definitely Entopay’s commission and processing fees which will be deducted before the funds are loaded on to your card.

funding options entropaySpecial Entropay Features

  • Visa Card – Visa Cards are accepted throughout the world. So this really makes the Virtual Card to be used anywhere around the globe with any merchant who accepts Visa Cards.
  • Prepaid Card – Unlike regular Credit Cards, Entropay Virtual Cards are Prepaid. So you only use what you load into the card. Hence no payment dates and no over usage.
  • Instant Activation – As soon as you create an account and deposit your first set of funds, you’ll be given a unique Card Number together with the details such as the Issue/Expiry Date and CVV/CVV2 number.
  • Card Statement – Entropay keeps a statement of your card with all the details of transactions that you have made during the period.
  • Receive payments – You can also receive merchant payments directly in your Virtual Card which can be later withdrawn into your bank account. So you can also use it as a way of receiving payments.
  • Upto 10 Virtual Cards – Basic account holders can add upto 10 different virtual cards into their account and use them as per need without any need of physical verification.
  • EntroPay Plastic MasterCard – They also offer this physical card which can be used just as the way you use a regular card.

Have you used Entropay in the past? Let us know your take on the service. We’ve recently signed up and feel that it’s a great way of securely making payments online.

Entropay is not accepted in any of online shopping website india and as of 2011, Entropay has stopped issuing plastic card.. so I believe your article on indian context need to be amended accordingly.

    • Narender November 30, 2013 at 10:25 pm #

But you don’t even need a Credit Card for shopping in India. Net Banking works so cool.. Plus Debit Cards are accepted all over.
Problem is with international sites which require credit cards.

      • Rahul December 12, 2013 at 11:45 am #

most people in india has debit cards, and international sites require credit card. This entropay works as your credit card and is accepted on internationl sites and even works with google play which never accepts any indian bank debit cards.

    • Aji November 22, 2015 at 9:18 am #

You are right Sandeep, I tried to do make a payment to paytm with entropay transaction has been declined saying your 3d verification failed

      • Narender Singh November 22, 2015 at 9:33 am #

In India, it is RBI guideline for every payment gateway to ask for the 3D code.

  2. Abdul Fatir April 12, 2014 at 1:55 am #

Please remove such information which is of no worth in Indian context. I am a sufferer. Entropay doesn’t work on any Indian shopping website, not on Google play even. I am stuck with a lot of money in entropay account.

PS.: The most misleading statement is, “Entropay Prepaid Virtual Credit Cards can be used on any website or service which accepts international Visa cards.” This a a plain HOAX!

    • Narender Singh April 12, 2014 at 7:59 am #

I just used it on Google Play (an Indian account) and it worked. As about shopping on other Indian websites, they already accept Debit Cards (or net banking), why you ever wanted a virtual card for the same? This post was majorly about shopping at international sites which won’t accept your local Indian card. Lastly, my domain is not a .in domain. That’s a .com which means worldwide applicability, so removing it because it does not work in India is not the right thing to do.

    • Gaurav Singh August 15, 2014 at 12:05 pm #

Why do you even require entropay for shopping in India? You are the hoax creator. All major online shops in India provide internet banking and cash on delivery. You don’t even need entropay to shop in India. You probably don’t even have a bank account you so called ‘sufferer’.

    • Narender Singh November 19, 2014 at 9:50 pm #

Most Visa and MasterCard Debit cards issued in India can be used to top up a Virtual Card in entropay. However do note that not all indian shopping sites accept international cards (which entropay is).

hi! i wanted to make an entropay account for aliexpress but there was no option to top up my newly made card with inr! so how will i fill in my money in it? plz help.

    • Narender Singh January 8, 2015 at 5:17 pm #

You can use any international debit card to top up Entropay virtual card. However, you will charged commission by the bank which is about 3.5% for most banks.

  6. preet January 8, 2015 at 5:22 pm #

      Have you verified your account?

  10. JHainaars March 31, 2015 at 7:26 pm #

Whenever I am trying to add funds to the virtual credit card, the transaction is declined by the bank, have used both Citibank & HDFC, they ask for ipin or OTP, when entered correctly it shows message that transaction is declined.

My account is verified. please help.

    • Narender Singh March 31, 2015 at 10:09 pm #

There’s some issue with them. Using my Axis card takes me like 50 tries to add funds, but using a bank such as Vijaya Bank always took me past in the very first attempt. You just need to keep trying, at least a 15-20 times and you’ll probably be successful.

      • Santa Bol April 1, 2015 at 12:35 pm #

I have try 3 time with Corporation Bank Visa card (it’s visa verified). First time it’s say transaction failed but next 2 time nothing notification me. Now what can I do. Keep try to top up?

        Thanks

        • Narender Singh April 1, 2015 at 3:14 pm #

Does it work on other international sites? If so, keep retrying.

  11. JHainaars April 1, 2015 at 6:34 pm #

my both cards work fine on international sites, even asked to hdfc cust care if this merchant “entropay” is banned or blacklisted to whioch they replied in negative and still wondering what’s going on, i fear keep trying multiple times would block or lock my card.

    • Narender Singh April 1, 2015 at 9:44 pm #

Trying repeatedly didn’t block my Axis card and neither did it block the Axis card of my friend. It shouldn’t be blocked because you’re not entering invalid info, just the transaction is failing. Really is a hard task sometimes. Dunno why that happens, but probably unavoidable.

Which card were you using? Make sure that it is enabled for international usage and then consider trying for about 10-15 times before giving up.

I used my SBI international debit card for loading USD 5.00 on test basis after creating Entropay basic virtual card, and contrary to my bad experiences with SBI cards, entropay card got loaded on first try.. Entropay chrgd 0.25 usd though. Total 5.25 usd debited and usd 5.00 showd up as balance on my virtual card..
I am wondering whether I can link this virtual card on my paypal account …My SBI credit card got rejected for paypal linkage..I want to use Entropay+ Paypal for international online purchases…

    • Narender Singh April 24, 2015 at 4:36 pm #

For me, Entropay card has always worked with PayPal. So hopefully it will work fine for you as well. However, it is still recommended to use a bank such as Axis if you’re going to make a lot of transactions, the Entropay fees might be too much. But, if you use it occasionally, it should be all okay 🙂 Good Luck!

      • Narender sharma June 4, 2016 at 5:41 pm #

yes this is possible and Axis bank debit card supports Paypal. Paypal gives option to link any visa card to it, there you can link this Entropay virtual card

        @Narender singh
Where is the option for withdrawal in entropay? How can I withdraw it to my bank account?
        Did vijaya bank work?

        • Narender Singh June 16, 2015 at 11:43 pm #

In front of the card, there is an option to Transfer Funds. Choose ‘Your personal bank account’, Add/choose the bank account, enter amount and go. I haven’t personally tried, but it should work fine and remited to your bank just as any other International EFT will.

          • Ravi June 17, 2015 at 8:30 am #

Is it have to be the same account, which we deposited?
or we can use different for withdrawal?
Whic bank is best for entropy?

            • Narender Singh June 17, 2015 at 3:14 pm #

You can use any account. Just make sure the branch is eligible to receive international EFT and provides you with a SWIFT code.

  16. kiran m v July 6, 2015 at 11:22 am #

Your branch would know which branch they use for processing International Transfers. Contacting somebody knowledgeable would be your best bet.

  17. MHD July 8, 2015 at 10:28 pm #

Since I’m not able to use my SBT Classic debit card to load the entropay card, I’m thinking about using bank transfer to load it. Would like to know your opinion.

    • Narender Singh July 9, 2015 at 1:06 pm #

That will be a lengthy process as you cannot do direct deposit to foreign bank accounts as easily as you do with local. If possible, try using a friend or another family member’s card.

  18. MHD July 23, 2015 at 2:49 pm #

Pardon me for troubling but my card is state bank classic visa international.
Shouldn’t it be working or is there any sort of activation by calling customer care?

    • Narender Singh July 23, 2015 at 4:43 pm #

State Bank cards don’t generally work on sites without 3D authentication. There was some news in the past about SBI teaming up with PayPal, but IDK if that bore any fruits or not.

I do need to withdraw money from entropay. But there is high transfer fees for bank transer

      • Rima January 28, 2016 at 4:44 pm #

They are charging 15$ fees for 10$ transfer. Thats ridiculous ES

    • Narender Singh January 28, 2016 at 6:57 pm #

Hi Rima. You cannot use it in India since RBI requires all Indian payment gateways to do 3D code authentication (VBV/MSC or OTP) before processing payments. So, that’s not possible.
Withdrawal fees of Entropay is fixed and it doesn’t change with the amount you are going to withdraw. So, good if you’re withdrawing a high amount say $500. Else, it is rightly too much.
What we can do here is that I buy that Entropay card from you and pay you in your bank. I am a frequent shopper from international sites so I’ll be able to use for something or the other. Let me know if you want to proceed with this.

      • Rima January 28, 2016 at 7:21 pm #

How about amazon.in . Can I use it there.

How will u pay me. I have 25$ balance

        • Narender Singh January 28, 2016 at 8:33 pm #

Since Amazon is an American company and has access to its American payment system, it can process the payments from international cards outside of India. In short, yes you can use the Entropay card on Amazon India 🙂
Thought you only wanted to withdraw $10. I won’t be in need for $25 anytime soon, so you should just go ahead and spend it on Amazon India. You can even buy Amazon gift card which can be used to shop later, in case you don’t find something to buy 😛

          • sv February 13, 2016 at 7:30 am #

    • Narender Singh March 5, 2016 at 3:46 am #

That’s usual with Entropay. Sometimes it really takes like 20+ tries to successfully load money into the account. You can also wait for a while and try again later 🙂

    Hlo….Narender
Mention the Names of all Indian international enabled cards which are used to top-up entropay wallet

    • Narender Singh June 24, 2016 at 11:52 pm #

Hey Sheshadev, an International Chip Based debit card from any bank with International Usage enabled should be usable to load Entropay. This is because Entropay has the secondary verification via 3D Code or VBV enabled. So all banks should be okay with processing your Entropay transaction.
If you have a one-time use, maybe we can find a way out since I have funds in my Entropay. I can generate a card for you and you pay the fees + the required amount to my bank 🙂

    • Narender Singh July 1, 2016 at 12:30 am #

Entropay charges its fees when you add money to the card. You don’t encounter additional fees as long the currency you are paying in is same as the currency in your Entropay card.

      • Chaitanya July 3, 2016 at 7:12 pm #

  36. Sameer August 22, 2016 at 11:56 pm #

    Hi narendra

    I tried with my HDFC and citibank credit card, but the bank does not process it even after correct OTP. Any idea if these banks have blacklisted the site? Also it needs only indian debit card or Indian credit card works (which works internationally otherwise);

    • Narender Singh August 23, 2016 at 12:04 am #

It is a known issue with Entropay. Sometimes I ended up retrying for 20 times before one was successfully processed. Your card should work when it works internationally, so it isn’t an issue with your card.

      • Sameer August 23, 2016 at 12:06 am #

So you mean the credit card from hdfc should work if it works internationally? cool will try – thought it’s an issue of also using credit card vs debit card

        • Narender Singh August 23, 2016 at 12:12 am #

Yes, it should work as Entropay supports both Debit and Credit cards. But cards from some banks are harder to use as compared to others. For example, I had better luck loading Entropay with a card from Oriental Bank while the Axis Bank card gave me a headache before it managed to load my Entropay. Not sure why this happens, though 🙂 Good luck!

Is your card international? Please try repeating the transaction 10-15 times, it might just work.

You should be able to upgrade your entropay account for higher limits.

I have an Oriental Bank of Commerce VISA Debit card. I tried using it on AliExpress directly, OTP comes, I enter it but transaction fails. I tried getting an entropay card but same problem. Transaction fails when I enter OTP. I’m transacting for $10.
