  • After did all the steps successfully I receive the msg in the wealcome Start Page:
“activation failed please retry after we open new activation”
Do you know how to jump it?

  • I’ve tried this last one, but same message error: β€œActivation failed! Please retry after we open up new activations.”. I uninstalled, cleaned up and reinstalled, but same message! Maybe in the activation, Nokia collects the device ID and yours is already accepted for testing the launcher. If someone else could test to see if it’s working. I don’t have another android phone…

  • Yes! The following message appear: “Activation failed! Please retry after we open up new activations.” =\ Maybe Nokia changed the way it activate in this version, I don’t know… I downloaded yesterday!

    • Strange. I tried reinstalling on my phone and it seems to still work. If the way of activations is changed in the latest version, can you try this old (initial) version? I will update this post if you succeed there.

  • Unfortunately, the launcher needs to get activated on the first time. And to do this, it connects to the internet and send a request to Nokia. Because Nokia isn’t accepting more testers the app doesn’t get activated and doesn’t work! =\

    • It surely sends a request to the Nokia Servers, but it actually installed fine for me (I did that after they stopped accepting new testers) and I published this post after that. Does the App show a warning or something to notify you that you’re not accepted into it?

    • Unfortunately, Nokia X Platform is not supported yet. It shows a Rooted Device error even when the phone is not rooted.
