Nokia Mobile India has just launched the Nokia X6 in India. As seen from the Hong Kong & Taiwan launch, the device is renamed as the Nokia 6.1 Plus. It features similar specifications and comes with an affordable price. The Nokia 6.1 Plus costs ₹15,999 and will be available for purchase starting 30th of August.

Software wise, the device runs on Android One platform, offering one of the purest flavors of Android. The Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Nokia promises 2 years of updates on its Android One phones. So, expect Android Q (or even R) besides Android Pie (9.0) and regular monthly security updates.

Yes, both names refer to the same device. The Nokia X6 is exclusively sold in China. The Nokia 6.1 Plus is its name for global markets. The only difference between the two is of Android One software which is used on Nokia 6.1 Plus and not on the Nokia X6.
Nokia 6.1 Plus is made in India or imported from China?
All Nokia smartphones, including the Nokia 6.1 Plus are made in India at the Foxconn facility in Tamil Nadu.

  • I want offline purchase nokia 6.1 plus. But this phone not available in any store. Plz u say that where are available this mobile. Plz contact to me my mobile number is 9039399884.

  • Nokia seems to have lost the old strategy. High priced phones with lower specs if compared to other phones. All their phones are LTE Cat 4 except I think Nokia 7 and above. And am not able to find the LTE frequency band the latest phones support. Seems the strategy is gimmicks and brand but missing in core area.

    • I’m actually checking on the same since a day. It isn’t very possible that an OEM sells a phone with only Cat 4. But that’s all Nokia website says. I’ll respond to you again if I get any further information about this.
