HMD Global’s Nokia 2.2 is the next smartphone to get its Android 11 update. The rollout makes Nokia 2.2 the 6th Nokia smartphone to receive an Android 11 upgrade. The Nokia 2 series consist of some of the cheapest Nokia smartphones running on full Android OS (and not Go edition).
The update is currently live in 24 regions, including parts of Asia and Europe. Nokia Mobile will provide the update in more regions with Wave 2 & 3 (if needed). List of countries (wave 1):
Cambodia, Czech Republic (T-Mobile Czech Republic), Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece (Cosmote), Hungary (Magyar Telekom), Iceland, Indonesia, Laos, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia (Monet, T-Mobile), Malaysia, Montenegro (Crnogorski Telekom), Myanmar, Norway, Philippines, Poland (T-Mobile Polska/Heyah), Romania (Telekom Romania), Slovakia (Slovak Telekom), Sweden, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The update will hit about 10% of the users initially. Then it will gradually expand over the next few days. HMD expects to deliver the update to 100% of users in the aforementioned countries by the 16th of April.
Size of update: The update will be around 1.2 GB in size. Hence, it is recommended that you download it when you have a stable Wi-Fi connection.
