Redmi 2 and Mi Pad Land in India for ₹6999 and ₹12999

Xiaomi is all set to bring more of its devices to the Indian shores. During the announcement event in Delhi, Mi India announced the introduction of Redmi 2 and Mi Pad to the Indian market. While the Redmi 2 was recently announced in China during January, the Mi Pad has been due since long. Both the Mi Pad and Redmi 2 are decent value for money devices and are expected to be as successful as the other Xiaomi devices.

Redmi 2 Price in India and Where to Buy

The Redmi 2 is officially priced at ₹6999 and is powered by a Quad Core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor together coupled with 1 GB of RAM around a 4.7-inch 720p display. You can read the detailed specifications here.

The 4G capable Redmi 2 will be put up for sale starting 24th March on Flipkart.com. The phone will be sold in Flash Sales – a method which has worked pretty well for Xiaomi and several other manufacturers. Registrations for the first sale on 24th March will open starting 6 PM on Match 12th. Thereafter weekly flash sales will be held requiring users to register every time to be eligible for purchasing the phone.

Xiaomi India also mentioned a limited edition Redmi 2 which will come with 16GB of onboard storage and 2GB of RAM. More details about this will be provided at a later date.

Xiaomi Mi Pad Price in India and Where to Buy

Priced at ₹12999, Xiaomi Mi Pad is a 7.9-inch (2048×1536) tablet powered by NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor. Mi Pad comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage (expandable via SD card) and a 8MP f/2.0 primary camera. Read detailed specifications at the Xiaomi Website.

Mi Pad will be sold only in white color in India on Flipkart, but any registrations are not necessary. This means that the Mi Pad will not be sold in Flash Sales. Instead, it will be readily available for anybody to pick and order. Mi Pad will be put up on sale starting March 24th.
