Buying apps, movies and other digital content from Google Play Store in India has become even easier. FreeCharge and Paytm are both offering Google Play Recharges. Simply order one and you’ll have it available within seconds. Yes! It is digitally delivered. You can order for any denomination between Rs. 100 to Rs. 1500.
Physical Google Play gift cards are also available for purchase since long. However, they only came in the fixed denomination of Rs. 750, 1000 & 1500. They also took way too long to get delivered if purchasing from an online store.
Purchase Google Play Gift Cards from FreeCharge
You can make use of FreeCharge’s mobile app, mobile website or the desktop website to purchase Google Play recharges. Simply open any of the medium and look for the Google Play Logo.
Recharge Google Play from Paytm
Paytm and FreeCharge compete head to head. So, you can also use Paytm to buy Google Play credit. Just look for Google Play option under the recharges section on Paytm’s app or website. Surprisingly, it is categorized as a recharge and not a gift card which it actually is.
How to Redeem or Use the Gift Card?
If you’ve purchased a gift card (or a Play Store recharge), you can add the credit to your Google Play account by:
Option 1 – Opening THIS LINK in a browser and typing in the Gift code received from FreeCharge or Paytm.
Option 2 – Opening Play Store > options (3 lines at top left) > Account > Payment methods > Redeem code.
If I recharged for Rupees 100 from freecharge/paytm but i have to buy app of rupees 50 can i use codes 2 times ?
You just have to use it only once. Your Google Play account will be loaded with Rs. 100. When you buy an app of ₹50, the remaining ₹50 will stay in your balance and you can use that in your future purchase.
Can’t pay for an app subscription using google play recharge. Quite pointless.
