First Stable CyanogenMod 13 Builds Go Live – List of Devices

CyanogenMod LogoLast year in November end, CyanogenMod Team started rolling out the CyanogenMod 13 nightly builds. Now after a long time they are releasing the first stable builds of CM13. The nightly builds were available only for 7 devices but Cyanogen has extended the availability of stable to many more devices. Let’s first take a look at the devices which will be getting this build.

If you are installing the stable build over nightly then you will be forced to do a factory reset before installing it. So make a backup before you proceed.

Changelog of CyanogenMod 13 – Snapshot

There are a tons of changes made but let us take a look at the changed which are noticeable.

  • Protected app can no longer be launched via Play Store

 Ability to swap System Profiles in Power Menu – Removed  Quick Setting panel tile for System Profiles as functional replacement
 New SMS/MMS Application  Switched to AOSP SMS/MMS Application.
Notable features such as ‘Quick reply’ are available, but there may be slight variations in UI/UX.
 Permissions Due to new permission model API in M, Privacy guard has been re-engineered to be compliant with this new environment. Primary permission request for ‘Normal’ security level permissions will be handled by our package manager for non Google users, or Google’s manager for those that opt for Googley bits.
Users retain ability to control fine-grained permissions via Settings > Privacy > Privacy Guard
 Snap Camera  New an enhanced camera app based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon camera.
 Cyanogen Apps pack  CM13.0 compliant C-Apps is not yet available but will be available in coming weeks.
